CLWB Rhedeg Aberteifi were well represented at the Aberystwyth Charity 10k race on Sunday, with more than 40 members taking part.

The 25th iteration of the event saw 42 members from Clwb Rhedeg Aberteifi in the race – which started and finished at the promenade opposite the Marine Hotel on December 10.

In fact, there were so many members of the club taking park, they needed to get a Richards Bros bus to the start line.

The first home was David Warren, who finished 26th overall and first in his age category (V60) in a time of 38 minutes 38 seconds.

Close behind in 35th was Stephen Williams in a personal best time of 39 minutes 28 seconds – which was 11th quickest in his age category.

Alistair Bowen was second in the M50 category in a time of 40 minutes 31 seconds, while Glen Davies was second in the men's 65+ category in a time of 50 minutes 41 seconds, and Robert Sharratt was fourth.

Jane Williams was the first Clwb Rhedeg Aberteifi lady home and second in the V35 category in a time of 47 minutes 48 seconds, while Angela Evans made the top 10 in the senior women's category.

Helen Lutley was second in the women's 70+ category, finishing in one hour 30 seconds.

A host of personal bests and loud support got the commentator's attention, as Cardigan Running Club, while the club made their presences felt in their trademark cardibobble woollen hats and team track-suits.
