ABERPORTH Rowing Club juniors stole the show at the Welsh Sea Rowing Associations South League races at Pembrokeshire Yacht Club.
The cloud cover kept things cool and there was no holding the junior crew – Dani Jones, Rhys Knight, Liam Jones and Ellie English – as they finished one and a half minutes ahead of all boats in their race to secure an under 18 open win.
Aberporth ladies came first in category, with cox Jeff English, Leanne Vittle, Sarah Skinner, Rebecca Morris and Sam English.
Aberporth men came second in category with cox Sam English, Rhys Knight, Phil Perkins, Jeff English and Tim Grimsdale.
The mixed teams came first and second in category. Winners were cox Sam English, Leanne Vittle, Phil Perkins, Jeff English and Sarah Skinner.
Aberporth will now host the Welsh Open Beach Sprint Coastal Rowing Trials on July 14. It will be a real sight to see and all are welcome to come and watch the athletes compete to represent Wales at the Commonwealth Beach Sprints in Poole this August.
