An All Stars initiative programme introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board to increase the number of children playing the sport is
proving an outstanding success at Pembroke County League club Llechryd.
Organised and managed by clubman of the year Andrew Fletcher there are around 35 juniors aged from five to nine years registered for this year's
eight-week programme.
The All Stars mascot 'Starry' made an unexpected visit to the club on Friday to the delight of junior members taking part in the programme.
Even though the programme is now halfway through parents can still register their children via the ECB All Stars website (ecb.co.uk/play/all-stars) where they will receive free kit and membership of Llechryd Cricket Club.
