RUGBY ROUND-UP

Having appeared to be League 1 West relegation certainties earlier in the season, Crymych are ending the campaign in sensational fashion with six wins on the bounce and could make it seven when Kidwelly visit Parc Lloyd Thomas for the final fixture this weekend.

In midweek the Preselimen romped to a 50-5 win over visitors and newly-crowned champions Felinfoel who travelled west with a makeshift line-up and paid the price.

Crymych crossed for eight tries through Aled Harries, Osian Davies, Carwyn Phillips, Ifan James, Nicholas Bevan, Lawrence Headlam, Llyr Davies and Ryan Rees with centre Jake Jenkins landing five conversions.

Four days after sweeping aside the champions, Crymych sprang a 55-5 win over bottom of the pile and relegated visitors Tycroes.

As the north Pembrokeshire villagers turned on the style Tomos Lewis sprang a try hat-trick and the other scorers were Nick Bevan, Carwyn Phillips, Ifan James, Luke Rogers, Lawrence Headlam and Richard Walters with

Gavin Thomas adding five conversions.

Cardigan's rather disappointing campaign in League 3 West A ended with a ninth defeat as they lost 48-19 against champions Pembroke at King George V Playing Field.

Cardigan ran in three tries through player/coach Colin Davies, John Lumb and Iwan John with two of the scores converted by Lumb.

For the visitors there were two tries apiece for Barry Alderman-John and Luke Hartland with Sam Smith, Toby Smith, Dan Colley and Gyle Weatherall also getting in on the act. Harland landed three conversions and Toby Smith

was successful with one kick.
