A week after being outplayed by Division Two leaders Carew, there was more disappointment for Llechryd who went down by 25 runs against third in the table and visitors Hook at the RDM Oval.

As Hook posted 115 all out, Jamie Phelps held the innings together by grafting 32 runs and was supported by Brennan Martin who made 25.

Seamer Nick North excelled with the ball for the Teifisiders in snapping five wickets for 32 runs and seamer Graham Keen picked up three wickets.

In the Llechryd reply Jonnie Lewis was top scorer with 25 and Keen made 22 but the homesters struggled against accurate bowling by Aled Phillips (3-14) and Jonathan Willington (3-17) and the innings closed on 90.

Llechryd Seconds fared no better than their seniors in a Division Four away game against Lawrenny 2nds who won by four wickets.

The visitors made 169-5 thanks mainly to Owen Roberts who was unbeaten on 68 while Phil Gregory contributed a useful 36.

Lawrenny knocked off the runs for the loss of six wickets with Steve Campbell leading the way with a fine knock of 81 and he was supported by
