Upsets on the pool scene don't come much bigger than the quite remarkable feat by outsiders Llew Coch to recover from a virtual hopeless situation to spring a 4-3 win over reigning league champions Red Lion in the 7s final of the Cardigan & District League.
The underdogs were staring down the barrel after losing the first three games but with the champs appearing to be sauntering and requiring one game for victory matters took a dramatic turn.
The recovery mission was launched by veteran Mark Belotti and another old stager Kevin 'Council' Phillips who some years ago reached the last 16 in the Wales singles championship gave his side some hope.
Carl Dobson, a former Red Lion cueist caused concern among his ex-team-mates when coming up trumps and Phil 'Twin' John potted the black in superb fashion to spark the celebrations.
League fixtures (Tuesday, January 9): Lamb A v Lamb B; Red Lion v Llew Coch; Wine Bar v Hope & Anchor; Rugby Club v Clwb Rygbi; Bell v Bowling Club
