A fifth success in notching a four-wicket win over visitors Saundersfoot kept alive Llechryd's outside chance of promotion in the Pembroke County League Division Two.

Saundersfoot struggled against accurate bowling and sharp ground fielding and despite a fine knock of 46 by Paul Mansbridge the Seasiders were dismissed for 107.

For the second week in succession seamer Graham Keen was in great form with the ball as he snapped five wickets for 29 runs and was given excellent support by paceman James Heneker who picked up two wickets for 19 runs.

Llechryd had a few hiccups in losing six wickets while chasing a modest total but vastly experienced left-hander Steve Smith (31) and all-rounder Leighton O'Connor, who was unbeaten on 22, ensured victory.

Medium-pacer Tony Pappachan returned figures of 2-8.

The Teifi Valley high-flyers will be hoping for more success this weekend when visiting bottom of the pile Llanrhian.

Llechryd 2nds and Crymych are in joint second behind champions-elect Narberth 2nds in Division Four after both banked valuable points.

The Preselimen brushed aside Kilgetty 2nds with ease at Glandy Cross as the visitors were skittled for 56 with Ioan Davies having figures of 4-21.

Despite losing four wickets in reaching the target the issue was never really in doubt as Richard Thorne (26) and Martin Thomas (14 not out) guided their side home and 27 points.

Llechryd 2nds were held to a draw at Hundleton but banked 23 points to keep up their promotion challenge.

The Teifisiders posted 173-5 in 40 overs with Jack Davies making 51, Josh Ward contributing 44 and Andrew Fletcher continuing his good run with 36.

Llechryd bowled and fielded well and at the close Hundleton were tottering on 128-8, the mainstay of their innings Jonathan Williams with 32.
