LLANDYSUL manager Chris 'Coco' Davies has welcomed the draw for the semi-final of the J Emrys Morgan Cup after the Costcutter League leaders were pitted against Waterloo Rovers of the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur

League.

The semi-final clash will be staged at Victoria Park in Llanidloes on Wednesday, March 22, with a 7.30pm kick off while the other semi between unbeaten Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth & District League pacesetters Bont and Berriew Reserves goes on at Latham Park in Newtown on Wednesday, March 15 with a 7.45pm kick off.

Waterloo Rovers, who play at Maesydre Recreation Ground in Welshpool, are third in the league and reached the penultimate stage of the competition with successes against Trewen United of the JT Hughes Division Two, Borth

Reserves of the Cambrian Tyres, Guilsfield Reserves of the JT Hughes Division One and Llanfyllin Town, currently second in the First Division of the JT Hughes.

The Teifisiders, who were beaten 2-0 by Llanfair United in last season's final, and as losing finalists were exempt until the third round this time around.

Llandysul beat Llanymynech of the JT Hughes Division One before a 3-0 win over neighbours Pencader and reached the last four with a 3-1 home win over Crannog.

Boss Davies said: "I'm quite happy with the draw. I see Waterloo are flying high in their league and it should be quite a game – it will be a nice spin into mid-Wales for us."
