LOCAL professional squash player, 22 year old Nia Davies of Beulah has been selected to represent Wales at the Women’s World Team Championships in Paris. This week long, prestigious event will take place in the capital beginning on November 27.

This could well be Nia’s first senior cap, as she battles it out with teams from across the globe including Egypt, Australia and America.

Her team members include Welsh No.1 Tesni Evans, Hannah Davies and Lowri Roberts, all from North Wales. The players are all under 24 and will be one of the youngest teams at the event.

“I’m really looking forward to the whole experience,” said Nia.

From Paris, Nia will travel to another competition in the centre of France (Clermont Ferrand) and will compete at one of the biggest professional tournaments she has played to date.
