WITH four batches of fixtures remaining Cardigan and Lampeter are engaged in a Ceredigion Bowling Association Division One title fight that could go all the way to the wire.

As it stands Paul Monders and his Cardigan team-mates are three points ahead of the reigning champions and when fixtures resume on July 27 the pacemakers host New Quay and follow up with an away game against Aberystwyth, home against Tregaron and the final day clash with Lampeter on the Gwbert Road green on August 24.

Lampeter are at home against Aberaeron and have away fixtures at Tregaron and New Quay before visiting the county town.

In the latest games both rivals picked up 12 points - Cardigan defeated Aberystwyth while Lampeter sprang a win over Aberaeron.
