ALTHOUGH the local football programme took another battering on Saturday with all games in the J Emrys Morgan Cup, Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies and Costcutter League falling victims to the weather officials are not envisaging a fixture pile-up towards the end of the season.

Some clubs have not been in action for several weeks but according to Costcutter League secretary Geraint Davies there is no cause for concern.

“We are inviting clubs to play on Bank Holiday Monday, December 28 and obviously a few dry weekends would not go amiss,” he said.

“If you look at the league tables they show that some clubs in Division Two have played half their fixtures and we are also well advanced in cup competitions, so there is no need for panic.”
