Herbrandston 211 for 9 drew with Crymych 213 for 8

CRYMYCH got the better of the draw at Herbrandston, and the visitors were only one wicket away from snatching a dramatic victory.

The visitors batted first and posted a decent 213-8 total with the in-form Richard Thorne (61) and Sam Kurtz (65) getting the bulk of the runs. Herbrandston’s Kristan Bennett (3-40) and Harry Nicholas (2-37) bowled well for Herbie.

In reply, Kristan Bennett was the visitors’ top scorer with 89 and his bowling alley Nicholas struck 19 runs.

However, Andrew Thomas (4-50) and Harry Dunn (2-12) took wickets at regular intervals for the visitors who bagged 19 league points in the process, this result kept them in fourth position in the table and Herbrandston are fifth.

This Saturday, Crymych have home advantage against Lawrenny 2nds.

Crymych 2nds 196 for 6 beat Neyland 3rds 47 all out

CRYMYCH 2nds proved too strong in all departments for Neyland 3rds at home.

The hosts opened the batting with Tomos Lewis (80) leading the way with an excellent innings alongside Rhodri Lewis (43) and Michael Ryan (15no) who set a decent score of 196-6 at tea.

Neyland 3rds showed little resistance as Crymych’s Vernon (4-11) and Ewan Davies (4-15) took four wickets apiece and the visitors were shot out for only 47 runs on the scoreboard.
