AFTER sharing the Division Two West spoils with Dunvant seven days previously Newcastle Emlyn director of rugby Marc Lloyd called for his charges to be more clinical.

And the players responded with a 40-19 bonus point away win albeit against bottom of the pile Aberavon Quins who have yet to pick up a point from five starts.

It was a competent team performance by the Red and Whites but there was a lack of confidence at times and they will be eager to put this right on Saturday when visiting Skewen.

Tight-head prop Emrys Davies, blindside flanker Chris Marks and fullback Sean Leonard stood out for the visitors who crossed for five tries.

The Teifisiders led 14-12 after the opening 40 minutes, their points coming from tries by Owain Powell and No. 8 Alex Williams, both scores converted by outside half Rhydian Harries.

Openside flanker Ben Bragger and lock Liam Oates got tries for Quins, the latter score converted by centre Mark Shepherd.

After the break Emrys Davies, centre Dan Davies and Leonard went in for tries and Harries landed two conversions.
