A PEMBROKESHIRE home visit project is aiming to alleviate loneliness and isolation felt by some people in the over 65s age group, by arranging visits.
The Welcome Visitor @ Home Project, provided by Pembrokeshire charity, The Adlerian Society of Wales, arranges regular visits to people who live alone in their homes.
"It has been very successful, and shown a huge positive impact on the well-being of the people who have a visitor," said Jo Greenfield, one of the project co-ordinators.
"It can make a real difference just to hear another person's voice or have a welcome visitor to share a cuppa and a chat."
The team of visitors has recently been extended, which means more clients can now have visits in Pembrokeshire.
If you know somebody in our community who would enjoy having a weekly visitor, perhaps an elderly neighbour, then get in touch on 07966 229375 or email welcomevisitor@yahoo.com
