ANYONE who spots signs of illegal raves being planned on local land is being asked to contact the police.
Pembrokeshire County Council and Dyfed-Powys Police are asking farmers, local landowners and community councils to be on alert over the coming summer months for warning signs of raves or parties planned for their land.
Social networking has made it easier for organisers to spread the word of events, and rave attendance numbers can grow quickly.
Suspicious activity can include unusual numbers of vehicles - especially camper vans, vans or trucks - seen in an area.
Illegal trespassers may check out sites in advance of any rave, or people may approach landowners and ask around for land, in the guise of hiring it for a different event.
As well as the impact of large numbers of people and vehicles on rural lanes, raves can be difficult to break-up.
Anyone with concerns should call Dyfed-Powys Police on 101.
Alternatively, call Pembrokeshire County Council out-of-hours service on 01437 775522.
