Immigration officials backed up by police officers swooped on four premises in Cardigan in a planned operation and arrested several men suspected of being illegal immigrants.
Two Immigration Service vans arrived at the police station in Priory Street on Thursday evening, and shortly afterwards officers, some of them armed, and understood to be acting on information received, executed a search warrant at the King Kebab Takeaway in Pendre.
