THE Cadwgan Trust is to be given use of the Old Stables building at Cardigan Castle rent free, Ceredigion's Cabinet has agreed.
Cllr Ray Quant told colleagues this week that the arrangement would remain in place until the completion of a feasibility study into the possibilities of renovation at the Castle and options for its future use.
"There has been a very long journey with the Castle and the Trust seems to be making progress, we should support them," he said.
"We should offer the premises rent free until outcomes of the feasibility study are known. If the Trust eventually takes on the Castle to progress any work, then we can review the matter then," added Cllr Quant.
