Crymych residents took their protest against the continued presence of a convicted paedophile in the village right to the man's front door on Monday night.

Some 200 residents attended a meeting at Crymych Market Hall and many of them afterwards marched in failing light to the sex offender's home in the centre of a council housing estate where for more than an hour they chanted: "Mas, mas, mas.....Out, out, out."

The couple who again organised and chaired this second protest meeting on the issue, Terry and Donna Davies, had earlier impressed on everyone the need not to resort to violence.

Mr Davies, a 42-year-old lorry driver, and his wife have three daughters aged 11, 14 and 17. He told the Tivy-Side: "It has come to this because the authorites have all chosen to ignore our pleas to have this person moved out of this community."

The angry residents will hold yet another protest meeting at the same venue next Monday, September 16 (7.30pm).
