PLANS for a technology park and aiport at Blaenannerch airfield could create as many as 2,000 jobs. That was the prediction of Dr Sue Wolfe of the WDA when she addressed a packed public meeting at Aberporth Village Hall last week.
The meeting was called by Ceredigion planning committee to gather the community's thoughts before a decision is made on the scheme in the next few months.
Objectors and supporters of the controversial plan were given the opportunity to air their views.
Supporters claimed the development would create jobs, stop the outward flow of young people and economically and culturally rejuvenate the area.
Objectors are in favour of the technology park - but draw the line at the airport and have begged planners to put the brakes on the scheme.
