The landlord of the Boncath Inn has been granted a Public Entertainment Licence (PEL), allowing him to continue holding fund-raising activities.
However, some nearby residents opposed his application, saying their sleep was continually disturbed by loud music and cars leaving the car park in the early hours of the morning.
At their meeting last Tuesday, the county council licensing committee heard from landlord, Phillip Simpson. He said lots of the noise complained about was caused by people returning to pick up their cars after a night out in Tenby or Saundersfoot. He said there was very little he could do about that apart from banning cars from his car park which, he said, would not solve the problem.
The council received several letters in support of the application, praising Mr Simpson for his fund-raising work.
The committee ruled in favour of Mr Simpson, but suggested he urge customers to be considerate when leaving the premises.
