Youngsters - girls as well as boys - interested in learning the basic skills of rugby with a view to playing matches on a regular basis can now do so by enlisting with Cardigan Rugby Football Club's thriving junior section.
Girls teams at under 13 and under 16 levels have already been formed and are in training for matches to be played on a regular basis.
"Some of the girls pitching into this are every bit as keen about it as the boys. And they don't hold back any with their tackling.
"We do, however, need to recruit coaches specifically for these girls team and anyone able to help out in this respect can contact me on 01239 615724," said junior section secretary Jon Lewis this week.
Section chairman Kevin (KCM) Phillips will only be too pleased to answer any queries and provide other information regarding age groups and coaching session arrangements, etc.
