Junior section awards

Chairing the formalities, junior section chairman Kevin C M Phillips reflected happily on a season that had seen sides representing nine different age groups do the section proud in participating in more than 100 matches. As well as congratulating all the players, he also warmly thanked the various coaches and expressed a big 'thank you' to the main sponsors Mr Ian Gollop and Robert Davies Motors, Llechryd; and all other sponsors who helped in any way.

Awards were presented as follows:- Flower Pot sponsored U8's: most improved player, Aled Richards; player of the year (shared), Sion Edwards and Dylan Davies. T M Daniel sponsored U9's: most improved player (shared), Osian Phillips and Llyr Price; player of the year, Sion Jones. Dewi James sponsored U10's: most improved player (shared) Marie Griffiths and Joe Hope; player of the year, Nia Davies. Inteligent Computers sponsored U11's: most improved player, Henry Molloy; player of the year, Stuart Worrall. Bwlchygroes Farm Feeds sponsored U12's: most improved player, Ashley Thomas; player of the year, Wil Turner; and player of the year, Hefin Jones. Three Farms Organic Milk sponsored Under 13's: most improved player David Edwards; player of the year, Daniel Jay; players player of the year, Mathew Southon. Robert Davies Motors U14's: Most improved player, Amlyn Griffiths; player of the year, Gethin Jones; and players player of the year, Timmy Morgan. Girls U16's: Players of the - Gemma Davies (forwards) and Tanya Evans (backs). U16's: Most improved player, Nigel Kurys; players player of the year, Dylan Richards. The Malcolm Davies Memorial Cup for the the outstanding player overall in the junior section: Dylan Richards.
