COUNCILLORS in Newcastle Emlyn are to reconsider their views on plans to build a supermarket over the Cawdor car park.

Protesters are expected to lobby members when they meet next week (Tuesday) at the Teifi Valley Day Centre from 7.30pm.

The meeting has been called by the Mayor, Cllr Maureen Webley, who wants members to think again on the scheme after a public meeting was held where most locals were against it.

The town council originally raised no objection to the plan, which would involve the demolition of the existing car showroom at Cawdor Cars, the office, former motor factors outlet, residential bungalow and construction of a retail convenience store with associated parking.
