TWO people from New Quay have been banned from driving for drug driving offences.
Samuel Dutnell, 19, of Llwyndafydd, New Quay, admitted drug driving at Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on May 11.
He admitted that on January 4, he drove a Volkswagen Polo on the A487 Blaenannerch while over the drug drive limit as he had 2.8 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.
He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £92 fine, £37 surcharge and £85 costs.
Wayne Wharton, 37, of Hengell Uchaf, New Quay, admitted drug driving at Aberystwyth Magistrates Court on May 17.
He admitted that on February 3 he drove a Peugeot partner van on the A487 Llanrhystud when he was over the drug drive limit as he had 759 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine in his blood.
He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £422 fine, £169 surcharge and £85 costs.
