SUNDAY afternoon saw just under fifty tractors take to the roads from Newcastle Emlyn RFC for a festive fund-raiser for next year’s Royal Welsh Show.
While the majority of entrants encased within modern vehicles, the event still drew one or two die-hard drivers without cabs on their smaller classics even if temperatures did not rise much above freezing throughout the 20-mile run.
Having left the rugby club the field took in the town centre en route to Drefach Felindre, Henllan, Horeb, Llandysul and onto Ffostrasol for a break.
From there the run continued via an amended route due to the adverse weather conditions through Penrhiwpal directly back to the finish at the rugby club where there was a raffle as well as a bite to eat.
