THE RNLI-911 Challenge is heading to Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

Retired London couple Belinda and James Richardson have been fervent supporters of the RNLI since owning an inflatable on the Thames more than 20 years ago.

They have also had a passion for owning a Porsche 911 for more than 50 years.

The couple want to raise funds for the RNLI and have come up with the challenge to drive anti-clockwise around the whole of the British Isles visiting all 238 RNLI Lifeboat Stations in a Porsche 911 within 911 hours.

They hope to raise in excess of £238 per lifeboat stations (£56,644 total) after setting off from Teddington RNLI station at 9.11am on August 23.

They are scheduled to be at New Quay RNLI station between 9am-9.15am on Tuesday, September 18), followed by Cardigan RNLI station at Poppit Sands between 10am-10.15am.

The challenge finishes back at Tower RNLI station in London on September 30.
