A NEW business in Cardigan ‘just wants to pamper the town’.

Ffion Jones has opened Ffion’s Beauty Boutique on Priory Street to fulfil a long-held ambition of running her own salon.

“It has been a dream of mine for years to own my own business and I am delighted to be able to open up in my home town and feel I can offer something a little bit different,” said Ffion, mum to Ebony 12, Jacob 10 and Tamiya 7.

Ffion did her training at Pembrokeshire College and then spent much of her early career at Ragdale Hall Spa in Leciestershire.

“They came down to the college to give me an interview and I went there on work experience and got offered a job,” said Ffion.

“I learned so much and worked with so many different brands. There were 128 therapists at the spa and I was chosen as one of the five golden therapists, which made me very proud.”

Ffion worked for a short time at the Cliff Hotel but always wanted to run her own salon, where she will offer various beauty treatments, from body wraps to ear piercings and facials.

“I have looked at a few different properties over the years and when this came up everything just seemed right,” added Ffion.

“It is as though Priory Street seemed forgotten for a while but now it is definitely coming back, with Crwst opening at the bottom and the new hairdressers as well.

“I would like to thank my husband Gerwyn for his support and my dad Geoff Jenkins for all the work he did in getting the shop ready. The support I have had from everyone in the town has just been fantastic and I cannot thank people enough. Now I just want to pamper the town.”
