A NEWCASTLE Emlyn man must pay more than £1,100 and serve a community order after being found guilty of assaulting a woman in Cardigan and criminal damage.
Nathan Lynden Phillips of Ebenezer Street, Newcastle Emlyn denied the charges but was found guilty when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre for trial.
The 27-year-old was convicted of assaulting a woman in Cardigan on March 25 last year and of causing £300 of damage to a shop window in the town on the same date.
Magistrates imposed a community rehabilitation order on Phillips, along with a victim surcharge of £85 and costs of £620. He must also pay compensation totalling £455.
