A LLANDYSUL mum of two is over the moon with the number of people who reacted to her Facebook post asking for donations for Glangwili Hospital.

Tracy Jones decided to collect toys for the Cilgerran Ward as since giving birth to her two sons, she realised how lucky she was to have healthy children.

Tracy said: “People donated toys, reading books, colouring pencils, jigsaws, and socks. I wanted to give something to the children who will be spending their Christmas in hospital and my family and friends did also.

“It made me really happy that others felt the same as me. It really touched me that people were so generous.”

And her fundraising efforts didn’t finish there.

Along with her brother Dean, Tracy presented a cheque of £2,000 to the Gwenllian Ward at Glangwili Hospital in memory of their grandfather John Evans having completed the Cardiff half marathon.

Tracy said: "The staff at Gwenllian Ward helped my Dadcu through his last few months of his life. They did a fantastic job and to hand this cheque over to them meant a lot to us all, so thank you so, so much.

“Also a massive thank you to everyone who donated gifts to Cilgerran Ward. They were really touched and so grateful for what they received. Diolch bawb."
