NEWPORT skate park is still going strong thanks to the efforts of a couple of local builders.
The park was facing closure due to a large split in one of the ramps. The facility was repaired for local and visiting youngsters due to the generosity of Property Refurb.
Newport Town Council chairman Mike Phillips said: “Wyn Davies and Lawrence Lambert did an amazing job in replacing the broken ramp and got the skaters back on their boards for Easter and on through the summer.
“The community owes these gentlemen a huge debt of gratitude for volunteering their time and skill.”
