DYFED-Powys Police is doing all it can to keep the public safe in light of the increase in UK security threat to critical as we head into the bank holiday weekend.

It is reviewing security at all events and key locations across the force area and also liaising with venues and organisers. It has specialist resources available should they be required and is very grateful and encouraged by the communities’ response to calls to be more alert but not alarmed.

As many prepare for journeys around the force area or are planning on travelling elsewhere, it is asking that people are mindful that the increase in the UK threat level may mean additional police presence and security checks at ports, airports and rail stations.

This could result in some disruption to journeys, therefore plan in advance and allow extra time to travel.

Up to date journey information can be found at:

Air: Check with your airline or airport for live travel info.
