Family and countless friends heard with profound regret of the death, which occurred peacefully at Glangwili Hospital on Tuesday, of Thomas Ernie Owen, Erwen, Mwtchwr Lane, St Dogmaels, aged 75.
A native of Login in north Pembrokeshire, he had lived in St Dogmaels for many years where his kind and friendly disposition endeared him to people from all walks of life.
Up until his retirement he ran the former Ernie's Taxis business locally.
Mr. Owen leaves his wife Gwyneth, son Geoffrey and daughter-in-law Tammy, daughter Sharon and son-in-law Paul, brother Will and grandchildren Sarah, Sophie, Ajay and Aimee, to whom sympathy is extended.
The funeral was held on Saturday with a public service at Cefn y Pant Chapel, Login.
There were family flowers only, but donations in lieu if desired, to the Intensive Care Unit, Glangwili Hospital, c/o Colin Phillips, Funeral Director, Hyfrydle, Gwbert Road, Cardigan.
