He presented it to five celebrities involved with technology and engineering.

Later on in the day in the impressive awards ceremony Oliver was announced that he had been highly commended and had come third in the Senior National UK Engineering Competition.

A spokesperson for Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi commented that Oliver did himself and the school very proud at the event.

Oliver’s project entitled Eco-Touch was a multi-functional phone and accessory holder for a bicycle.

It enabled the rider to use a phone for navigation and fitness purposes as well as having the function to attach different accessories.

Eco Touch was fully developed and made using 3D printing technology, and resulted in a fully functional prototype.

Launched in 2009, The Big Bang: UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair is the UK’s biggest celebration of science and engineering for young.
