HUTS is a charitable organisation situated in Newcastle Emlyn, West Wales offering a wide variety of learning opportunities to support and encourage adults with mental health challenges to gain confidence through creativity and artistic expression.
HUTS Workshop has been running for over 16 years and now, with the aid of a Lottery grant, it is expanding its’ provision by creating a Befriending and Outreach service.
Ceredigion currently has no befriending service for people under 50.
The organisation wants to offer anybody with a genuine need the opportunity to have a friend. This new service is available to any adult under 50 following referral usually from their GP, Community Psychiatric Nurse or Social Worker.
They will be having an Open Day on August 19 from 11am – 2pm. There will be crafts to purchase, cakes to buy, cooking demonstrations, bric-a-brac, as well as an opportunity to meet staff, trustees and members.
