Aberporth Bilingual Playgroup have been awarded a Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme National Award.
They are the first in the county to receive this prestigious award, which is initiated by Welsh Government, managed by Public Health Wales and delivered in partnership with Ceredigion Early Years Sector. The award was achieved by implementing seven different health aspects, which all promote healthy lifestyles in the setting, at home and in the wider community.
Lisa Mayer, Playgroup Leader said: "It truly is an honour to receive this fantastic award for all at Aberporth Bilingual Playgroup. This would not have been possible if had not been for all the support and dedication from our children and their families, staff and committee, Terry from Designed to Smile, and our local Food Co-operative Team, in particular Anne McCreary, Helen Green and June Allen. Thank you all so much for coming together to achieve this award, and I look forward to continuing to promote a healthy happy future for our children.”
