The New Life Christian Centre, Cardigan, is opening its doors to provide a free Christmas dinner once again this year.

Christmas can be a lonely time of year, and New Life Christian Centre has kept its doors open and provided a free meal on Christmas day for the past 14 years.

A spokesman said: "Our busiest year saw us cater for 96, so there is no need to be alone. It's a great way to spend Christmas Day, sharing a meal and then watching a family movie.

“So if you are a single parent, homeless, bereaved, lonely, isolated, part of a broken relationship or financially stretched....... in fact anyone, why not join us this Christmas day for a four course meal! There is no cost and all ages and families are welcome to share the day with us."

The centre would also like to hear from anyone interested in helping in any way, such as donating a turkey or produce, peeling vegetables on Christmas Eve or serving on the day.

The organisation is also offering assistance for people who have difficulty getting to the centre.

Pastor Doug Bell said: “Some folk have their meal and escape, and some stay to watch a film. It’s like a family occasion and it’s nice to see a mixture of people of all ages.”
