Local fire-fighters helped rescue a seagull which became trapped in the Gloster Row area of Cardigan on Sunday evening.
The bird was found to be stuck in a maker pole on the river bank at around 6.25pm, and was released by Cardigan fire crew and RSPCA.
The gull was seen to paddle off downstream, unharmed by its ordeal.
