Children and families from Cardigan's Jig-So Children's Centre enjoyed
an afternoon at Tesco as part of their Farm to Fork initiative led by staff member Andy Jones.
This involved tasting various meats from the deli counter and cheeses and fruits from other areas. The children observed fish been filleted and viewed the chilled storage units in the back. Everyone found the grand tour of the store including behind the scenes facilities, deliveries and recycling very interesting. Angela Springett, Senior Outreach Support Worker said "It was great with the children been questioned on their knowledge of what the food items were and where they came from. Angela thanked Andy for an informative and well organised event as well as the fruit donated to make healthy
fruit smoothies back at the Jig-So Centre.
