Over the shop window behind this bus is a sign which says Midway Autos. Midway Autos was started by Stan Rees and Tom Phillips before they bought the Edwards Bros bus business from John Edwards on 1st February 1959. Later they would change the name to Midway Motors, the well known family business which still serves the area so well. I think this picture is in Crymych on the A478 heading up the incline towards the fire station and was taken some time between June 1962 (when the bus was bought) and January 1967 (when the bus was sold to Edwards, Maenclochog). Can any reader identify exactly where it is please? Is the shop still in business? What was it before Rees & Phillips used it? Where was the original Edwards Brothers Garage exactly and what is there now? (Was it perhaps around the back of this shop?)
