Ysgol Bro Gwaun welcomed Roger Davis of Fishguard RNLI, to present him with a cheque for £173.50 earlier this month.
The money was raised in a 10 mile hike from Llanychaer to Newport during the summer term.
The walk was undertaken by Year 13 pupils. The RNLI was chosen by pupils of Ysgol Bro Gwaun’s sixth form due to the vital support the RNLI provides for the coastal community.
A school spokesman said: “Pupils felt that the RNLI gives so much to our community and thought it was only right to give them something back and strengthen the strong community spirit.”
