Letter from Lyn Jenkins, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park

Dear Editor

We hear a lot, daily, about inflation and rising prices! Well, how about the opposite? We have only raised the entrance fee into our popular tourist attraction, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, at Gwbert near Cardigan by £1 per head over the last 11 years...... with no increase at all over the last two years!

Entry is still only £4.90 per adult and £3.90 per child for a day out ... viewing seals and possibly, dolphins, in the wild and feeding farm animals in stunning scenery overlooking Cardigan Bay, the Teifi Estuary, Pembrokeshire National Park and the nature reserve of Cardigan Island, just offshore!Beat that! .....Sunsets are superb!! Plus there is a large Visitor Centre with cafe and shop and an outdoor play area for children.

Furthermore, we held our sixth annual Gwyl y Barcud three-day kite-flying festival on June 23, 24 and 25.

Kite-flyers from all over the UK flew their large colourful kites here ........and we didn't even charge any extra entry fee into the Farm Park!!

Those staying at our camp-site even get Farm Park entry free. Who says that Cardis are tight??

Yours faithfully, Lyn Jenkins, Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, Gwbert, Cardigan
