Dear Editor,
On behalf of the residents of Newcastle Emlyn, I should like to propose a vote of thanks to those members of our Town Council who turn out on Sunday mornings in November, whatever the weather, to get the Christmas lights up and working in time for Victorian Night. It was not so bad last Sunday, when the sun was shining; a different matter this morning when it was definitely grey and very chilly and I hope they had their thermals on. Their efforts are well worth it, as anyone who turns out on the evening of Wednesday 4th December will appreciate.
