Small World Theatre is welcoming everyone to Marc Hayes' exhibition of new photographic work. 'Energy' is a series of 13 photographs taken over a period of 2 years, capturing some exciting behind-the-scenes shots and highlights from live performances at the venue.

Marc has a background in stage management and during the 90s he worked closely with musicians and performers at festivals and live events across the UK. His memories of this time influence his work today and contribute to the aesthetic sensibility behind the photographs. This year Marc has produced some breathtaking work including photographing No Fit State Circus and The Festival Players, as well as private commissions.

This colourful exhibition reveals the feeling or ambience of the events at Small World Theatre while capturing the essence of the performance and talent on show. Bill Hamblett, Artistic Director says 'There are difficulties involved in taking decent pictures at music and theatre events, and the quality of the prints on show attest to a growing skill and command of the medium and the context'.

This exhibition is open to the public Tuesdays - Fridays, 10am - 4pm and runs until 31 October. Free entry.
