After her first recital for The Peter Gould Music Trust eight years ago, the celebrated harp player Claire Jones who hails from Crymych, Pembrokeshire, will be making a greatly anticipated return to the concert platform.
Claire Jones was one of the first recipients of the Prince of Wales Advanced Study Awards in 2007 and 2008 recognizing her as one of Wales’s most outstanding young talents. She was the Official Harpist to HRH Prince of Wales from 2007 to 2011 and regularly performed for the Royal Family and distinguished guests at the Royal Palaces as well as at the Royal Wedding for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
As a concerto soloist, she has performed with many of the major European Orchestras and has given concerts in Russia, the USA and South America and will be returning shortly to the USA for a concert tour.
Claire has been a featured artist in Classic FM Magazine and is a regular performer on Classic FM, her CDs all having been CD of the week.
Promoted by The Peter Gould Music Trust her concert, which contains music by Debussy, Saint-Saens and Prokofiev amongst others, takes place on Saturday 22nd March at 7.30 at Theatr Mwldan. Tickets £12 (£10) and £1 under 22 are available from the Box Office (01239 61200).
