Have the delights of Christmas hit both your diet and your wallet hard? Are you wondering of a way to get fit in January, but lacking the spare cash for an expensive gym membership?

What better way to lose some of that Christmas excess than by playing six-a-side football?

Leisure Leagues’ Senior Manager Chris Rowntree said, "There is no doubt that many people will have spent the festive period over-indulging on chocolates and turkey, so we suggest they achieve their new year fitness goals by playing football".

There is no better time to join the league in Crymych as the coveted Leisure Leagues National Tournament, which will see the cream of the nation’s six-a-side teams battle it out for the honour of being Britain’s top side, will take place in May and the winners and runners-up from the Thursday 6-a-side League at Crymych Leisure Centre will be invited.

Chris added, "Many players will have been binging on anything other than goals over Christmas, so hopefully we will be able to attract them to a staple diet of football for the New Year!"
