Latter John Peacefully at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen on Sunday April 2nd 2017, John of 'John Latter Antiques', Newcastle Emlyn passed away aged 80 years. Public Funeral Service at Parc Gwyn Crematoriun, Narberth on Thursday 13th April at 4.00p.m. Family floral tribute, donations in memory if desired to Parkinsons Uk c/o the Funeral Director Maldwyn Lewis, Afallon, Rhydlewis, Llandysul, SA44 5QH. In the 1990's John fought for the rights of parents and children against a hostile and powerful local authority. At the turn of the Millennium John was selling antiques on the Internet when others were still coming to terms with email.
In the 2010's, despite his deteriorating health, John continued to exercise his encyclopedic knowledge and love of antiques.
John was stubborn, opinionated, and exquisitely offensive to those self-important enough to be offended. Newcastle Emlyn will be a less interesting place for his passing.
