A feast of soccer is in store in Ceredigion over the holiday weekend during the tenth annual Aberaeron Junior Football Festival.
The festival has grown in stature over the years and is now widely regarded as one of the top events of its kind in the country attracting teams from all parts of Wales and beyond.
It started as a one-day event with 64 children taking part but is now a three-day festival that caters for more than a thousand youngsters in classes from under seven to under 17.
During the town’s bicentenary celebrations three years ago Welsh team manager John Toshack attended and said he was most impressed.
The action gets underway on Saturday and concludes on Bank Holiday Monday. Any clubs or schools wishing to take part should contact festival secretary Gill Lewis (tel. 07977711434).
