A large number of runners from Cardigan Running Club (more than 20) and supporters travelled to Llanberis in Gwynedd to participate in the 39th edition of the Eryri Marathon, hailed as "Britain's toughest marathon" and Wales' iconic road running challenge.

All the hard training on the hilly roads around the area paid off as several members achieved personal bests, an incredible feat on a gruelling course that tackles Pen-y-Pass and the Waunfawr Hill.

First male runner home was Seth Davies - he also made the S4C tv coverage. Jane Williams flew home to be first lady runner from the club.

Huge congratulations for Tracy Williams for completing her first ever marathon, and everyone was lifted by the excellent support along the route - having a quick cup of tea at mile 24 before the final descent into Snowdon remains a highlight.
