CRYMYCH have made a promising start to the new Costcutter Ceredigion League season with a midweek draw against Llanboidy and an away win at Lampeter last weekend.

A Ross McDonald goal earned the Presei men a share of the spoils in their opening game of the campaign, with Frazer Wyatt netting for Boidy in a keenly contested 1-1 draw.

On Saturday, goals by Sion Vaughan and Steffan James saw Crymych take three points away at Lampeter Town, who had got on the scoresheet through a Scott Davies goal.

Llion Williams and Liam Doherty both scored twice as Cardigan Town beat local rivals St Dogmaels 6-0 in midweek, with Jordan Griffiths and Lewis Williams also scoring goals.

It got worse still for the Saints on Saturday as they lost 9-1 at Felinfach with Joe Jenkins netting a hat-trick, along with a Cameron Miles brace and singles by Steffan Hopkins, Rhys Jon James, Guto Miles and Aled Davies. Edward Wigley scored a consolation effort.

Oliver Edwards scored a brace as New Quay notched their first win of the season by beating Cardigan Town 2-1, with Brooklyn Williams netting the reply for the Magpies.

In midweek, New Quay had lost 3-2 at Crannog, with Huw Reed, Andrii Solyliak and Mike Glover scoring the winning goals, with William Davies and Steffan Williams replying.

Goals from Ewan Jones, Josh Grota and Cory Leonard-Davies saw Llechryd beat Bargod Rangers 3-1 in midweek, with Lewis Jones replying, and Rhys Williams scored a hat-trick and Owain Evans once as Felinfach won 4-0 at Dewi Stars.

Carwyn Morgan scored twice and Cian Edwards once as Ffostrasol beat Lampeter 3-0 in midweek, and the defending champions followed that up with a 6-0 win over Llechryd on Friday, with goals from Dafydd Phillips (2), Cian Edwards, Steffan Evans, Ifan Davies and Tomos Rogers.
