A YOUNG equestrian rider from Cardigan is already making waves in the sport at the tender age of 10.
Maisy Hickin, from Llangoedmor, has been representing her primary school – Ysgol Gymunedol Penparc – in the Just for Schools British Show Jumping UK League as an individual rider.
One of the youngest competitors in this league – who turns 11 this month – Maisy has demonstrated a talent well beyond her years despite having to compete against secondary school pupils.
Her final position in the UK League stands at first and second positions in her categories and qualifies her for the UK BSJ Just for Schools Championship at Stoneleigh in August.
Maisy has consistently placed in the top three in almost all her competitions this season as she continues to show great potential in the equestrian world.
